Vinicius Jr. has made it clear that winning the Club World Cup is more than just adding another trophy to Real Madrid’s cabinet. It is about making history.
After a tough season without major silverware, the Brazilian believes this new tournament can help the team regain confidence and momentum.
“We’re eager to win this first World Cup because people never forget the first one,” Vinicius told Real Madrid TV. “It’s the only title Real Madrid doesn’t have. We’re going for it.”
The team is currently in Miami preparing for the intense challenge ahead. Training has already pushed players to their physical limits, with the Florida heat playing a major role.
On their first day of training, the temperature hit 32°C, with humidity nearing 60%. The heat index at match time is expected to feel like 38°C, conditions Vinicius described as oppressive.

“It’s very hot. The first game is at three in the afternoon, and we have to be prepared because it’s going to be very tough,” he said, acknowledging the physical demands of playing in such conditions. Still, the squad is fully focused.
“I arrived last night and reconnected with teammates. I’m very happy and ready to adapt to the schedule, the heat, the climate, everything. We’re all ready.”
Vinicius also expressed his optimism about working under Xabi Alonso. “We’re training very hard, but today was a bit lighter because of the trip.
“I had already spoken with the coach and I’m very happy. I want to keep working to win many things with him.”
On new signings Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Vinicius added, “I haven’t spoken with them much yet, but I’m glad they’ve come. It’s a great time for them here.”
With the team fired up and the heat testing their limits, Real Madrid are not only preparing for a tournament, they are chasing a moment that could define their legacy in the competition.
