Vini Jr. was presented with the EFE Trophy for the Best Ibero-American Player of 2022 at Real Madrid City. The forward received the award after a year in which he established himself as one of the world's most exciting footballers. In 2022 he won the Champions League, La Liga, the European Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup. He also became a Real Madrid legend after scoring the winning goal in the Final of La Decimocuarta. He was also a regular starter for Brazil at the World Cup. Vini Jr.'s success continued in 2023 winning the Club World Cup, where he was awarded the Golden Ball, and the Copa del Rey.

Upon receiving the award, the Brazilian said: "This award means a lot to me personally as there have been some great players who have won it before and standing alongside them is very important to me. I really hope to continue this way next season and for the rest of my time at Real Madrid".
