Vini Jr. was named the best player of the 2022/23 LaLiga campaign at the second edition of the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE) awards, held at the Real Casino in Madrid. The Madrid forward, who made 33 appearances in last season's competition, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists, was awarded the prize following a vote by the footballers.
On receiving the award, the Brazilian player said: "I would like to thank the AFE and all my colleagues who voted me the best player in Spain last season. I am very pleased and I hope I can continue like this for many years to come.
