After bagging 18 goals in his first season at Villarreal, Karl Toko-Ekambi has come back to the tune of six goals and three assists in 18 games this season.
Now, it’s believed that the Cameroon international wants to seek out another opportunity.
According to Spanish outlet El Periodico Mediterraneo, the 27-year-old’s agent has offered the 2017 AFCON champion to Newcastle and West Ham.
Though both Premier League sides could use some extra help up top, they each spent club-record fees on a new striker this past summer, so they will likely be reluctant to fork over the €25m that Villarreal seek.
The pacey striker, who can also play out wide, is currently under contract until 2023 and was purchased from Ligue 1 side Angers for €18m in summer 2018.
Earlier in the month, it’s believed the LaLiga outfit rejected a €12m bid from Lyon.
