Villarreal star Dani Parejo reaches historic La Liga milestone | OneFootball

Villarreal star Dani Parejo on Sunday etched his name into the history books of Spanish football.

This came courtesy of his latest appearance in the colours of the Yellow Submarine.

Villarreal marked their post-international break return to action earlier today, playing host to Getafe in a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, Marcelino’s troops were forced to make do with an underwhelming share of the spoils, owing to a 1-1 result.

En route to as much, though, as alluded to above, a member of the club’s midfield ranks nevertheless managed to secure for himself a piece of history.

This comes after Dani Parejo managed to hit the 500-mark for appearances in La Liga.

As per statisticians Opta:

‘Daniel Parejo is making his 500th LaLiga appearance (282 with Valencia, 149 with Villarreal, 64 with Getafe and 5 with Real Madrid), the 15th player to reach this figure in the history of the competition.’
