Villa Park team news: £28.8m star could soon cause Aston Villa massive problems
Having signed from Barcelona for £28.8m last September, Semedo has not always lived up to expectations at Molineux, but Hatfield feels that he could may produce a big performance in the Midlands derby.
What's the latest news involving Semedo?
After being left on the bench for Wolves' opening game of the campaign against Leicester, Semedo has been an ever-present in the starting line-up for the last six top-flight matches.
WhoScored match rating of 6.69, which sees him rank ninth among his teammates.
What has Hatfield said about Semedo?
Hatfield has acknowledged that Semedo's end product can be improved, but he believes that the 27-year-old is getting into the right areas of the pitch. He has hinted that if Semedo can get his final ball right, he could do some serious damage against Villa this afternoon.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Express & Star journalist warned the Villans about Semedo's potential by saying: “You’ve got to be careful with the likes of Nelson Semedo. He’s looked like a threat going forward from wing-back or full-back. He hasn’t scored, but he’s got into good positions to do so.”

Can Semedo help Wolves overcome Villa?
Wolves will be up against it when they take on Villa, who have collected seven points from a possible nine at home this term.
With both teams utilising a back three in recent weeks, Semedo could be placed in a direct battle with opposite number Matt Targett, who has been keeping veteran wing-back Ashley Young out the team for much of this season.
Targett started all 38 of Villa's league fixtures last year, so knows his role well in the side. He has adapted well to pushing higher up the pitch since Dean Smith moved to a 3-5-2 formation, as he set up Ollie Watkins' goal against Tottenham in the team's last outing before the international break.
This suggests that it will not be easy for Semedo to get the better of the 26-year-old, but if he can build on his consistent displays so far this season and take his game to the next level this weekend, that could go some way to ensuring that Wolves leave Villa Park with all three points.
