Villa duo linked with move to Saudi Arabia | OneFootball

Two Aston Villa stars have been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer according to reports.

Journalists Matt Law and John Percy of Telegraph Sport have not named which clubs are interested in the duo of goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez and forward Leon Bailey, but there is concrete interest.

Martínez has been an ever-present figure for Villa since his arrival, playing 208 games in total. The Argentina international has also won the World Cup in that time and picked up several goalkeeping awards.

The 32-year-old has a contract with the club until 2029 but with Villa potentially needing to sell players this summer a negotiation is not off the table.

Meanwhile, injury has meant Bailey has been a lesser-spotted figure for the Villans in recent weeks. The former Bayer Leverkusen man has featured 142 times for Villa since his arrival in 2021, scoring 22 goals and assisting 23.

The club are reportedly more open to listening to offers for Bailey who has a contract until 2027.
