Viktor Gyökeres has only been an Arsenal player for two days, but he is already breaking records with demand for his shirt surpassing any in recent club history according to the Athletic.
While the report says data from various outlets and retailers is still being analysed, it is clear the Swedish striker has made quite the splash with his new fans.
There is a caveat with the Gunners marking his arrival with the offer of free printing for his name and number on any of the new season's shirts, a service which usually costs £16.
However, it is still a clear sign that the North London fanbase are delighted with the long-awaited signing of a traditional no.9, and it does help that the 27-year-old is wearing the no.14 made famous by the club's greatest ever player, Thierry Henry.
Gyökeres is set to make his Arsenal debut in the most fitting of fixtures, a pre-season derby with Tottenham on Thursday.
