Thomas Tuchel mentioned in his post match interview on TV that he was disappointed by the way his team created chances, and he was asked to expand on that in his press conference after the game.
He insisted that he had only been critical of the team making chances, not critical of players missing chances. It seemed like an attempt to remove some blame from Romelu Lukaku who was taking flak.
He pointed to 8 or 9 transition chances that couldn’t generate a shooting chance. “We could have had much more chances” he groaned.
