Liverpool went into the halftime break of their Champions League clash with Bologna with a 1-0 lead but things could have been different as Bologna had a very good spell in the opening 45 minutes, which resulted in Alisson telling his teammates to calm down.
The Premier League side took the lead after 11 minutes courtesy of an Alexis Mac Allister goal and it looked like the Merseyside outfit were in full control.
However, that was not the case as Bologna put Liverpool under immense pressure during a very good spell in the first half. The Serie A team hit the woodwork twice and also forced Alisson to make a big save.
Being part of Liverpool’s leadership group, the Brazilian tried to take some control of the situation and told his teammates to calm down, according to Peter Crouch on TNT Sports.
Arne Slot’s men took back control of the match towards the end of the opening 45 minutes and it will remain unknown if Alisson’s words had anything to do with it.
