Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been speaking ahead of his side’s mouth-watering Premier League against Manchester United on Sunday.

The two giants of English football are set to collide at Stamford Bridge in what is arguably the pick of matchday 26’s fixtures.

Coming into the game, United are in decent form after remaining unbeaten in their last eight matches, in all competitions.

Elsewhere, since taking over the Blues’ dugout from former manager Frank Lampard, Tuchel has yet to be beaten.

Speaking ahead of the important clash which could have serious implications in the league’s top-four standings, the German manager admitted getting the better of the Red Devils won’t be an easy task.

“We know this is a big challenge,” Tuchel told reporters. “Because like you said, their unbeaten away record so far.

“So we know what we’re up against; a team that hurt you any second with individual quality.

“A team that can hurt you any second with speed and they are a strong team from away.

“They can defend very compact, they’re very, very good in transitions with their wingers, with Rashford, with Bruno Fernandes with deliveries and then Greenwood, Edi Cavani, Martial, whoever plays.

“It’ll be a big challenge to defend [against] all this.

“The implication is huge, of course, if we get a win out of this game, it’s huge for us.”

Going onto address his impending reunion with former Paris-Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani, whilst comparing the South American with his own number-nine Olivier Giroud, Tuchel said: “Both top-quality strikers, top-quality number nines.

“For me, their fitness and self-discipline is key to their success.”
