After today’s win over Spurs, Thomas Tuchel was asked about the opening goal, scored by Hakim Ziyech.
He made sure to praise the “brilliant” finish, but also picked out Hudson-Odoi’s contribution in driving the ball forward and then switching play. While the strike will rightly be what is remembered, the coach wanted CHO to get his props too.
Tuchel often loses his head at Callum from the side-lines, and clearly he wants to balance that with some praise for when he does well. Man management 101, right?
