We noticed that a lot of the Spanish press this week have Thiago Silva in their Chelsea predicted starting XI, but we’re not so sure.

He trained on Monday for the first time with the team, and Tuesday’s open session at Cobham showed him grinning as he joined in.

But is Frank Lampard going to risk him with a start tomorrow after a couple of months out? It’s quite the scenario to be chucked in to.

In a back 3 he will be protected, and in all honesty there’s not like there’s important league games to keep him fit for. If there ever was a time to gamble, it’s now…
