New Juventus coach Thiago Motta landed at Milan Malpensa airport on Sunday evening, ready to begin pre-season work with the Bianconeri first team next week.
The 41-year-old was officially appointed as the new head coach of the Old Lady on June 12. He has put pen to paper on an initial three-year deal, which will run until the summer of 2027.
It is understood that the former Bologna coach will pocket an annual salary of €3.5m, which could eventually rise to €5m per season with bonuses.
“I am really happy to begin a new chapter at the helm of a great club like Juventus. I thank the owners and the management, who can be sure of my ambition to keep the Juventus flag flying high and to please the fans,” Motta said at the time of his signing.
Juventus have a handful of pre-season fixtures scheduled over the coming weeks, including against Germany outfit Nürnberg, Ligue 1 side Brest and LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid.
The Bianconeri will then have their sights set on the return of Serie A action, which begins with a visit from newly-promoted Como at the Allianz Stadium on August 19.
