I don’t think Sky Sports News presenter Ade Oladipo wants to be reminded of his blip on air this morning.

With reports from ESPN suggesting Manchester United see Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele as a short-term alternative option for Jadon Sancho in the transfer market, Sky Sports News had a segment discussing what route the club will take should they fail to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the talented winger.

When it was time to discuss Dembele, Emma Paton cuts to Oladipo before the crazy blunder occurred, on live television.

He mispronounces Ousmane Dembele’s name on air and says ‘Osama Bin’ before mumbling and tracking back from mentioning the full name of terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, who was killed in 2011.

Twitter user @ElCrisco recorded the footage from his TV and we just had to bring it to your attention as Manchester United transfer rumours reach a whole new level.

Another Twitter user — @Jamie689908 — shared the footage too:

We get linked with hundreds of players in the transfer market every year, but confusing one with a terrorist such Bin Laden is not something I have seen before.

It was obviously a mistake by Oladipo, so we’ll just move on and hope United strengthen their options on the right flank before deadline day.

A centre-back too.
