There’s no denying that the 2020-21 season is a difficult one thus far for Kylian Mbappé. The 22-year-old has struggled in UEFA Champions League competition and against the top clubs in Ligue 1 as he’s failed to score versus Lille OSC and Olympique Lyonnais.

Whether it’s the tactical approach from former manager Thomas Tuchel or his future beginning to weigh on him, Mbappé is regressing. Nonetheless, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino stated during his press conference where Canal Supporters relayed his comments that he remains optimistic about the France international’s form and believes that the goals will come.

“I am delighted with his performance. He is a crucial player for us. He is trying hard for the team. I am happy for his efforts and his involvement against OM. There are things to improve and work on, but I am satisfied with his game and performance. People always expect a lot from him, but I’m pleased with what he’s doing, and the goals will come quickly. Leave it to rest? There are plenty of myths about the physical management of players,” Pochettino said.

“It will be our decision, and we will make the best decision for each player. It will be a choice made with the medical staff, with all the information. Kylian is in good shape, and he has just played three matches. Scoring goals will come with time; I have no doubt. But we will make the decisions in the private sector. I don’t like to talk about it in public.”
