In 2019, Liverpool defeated Barcelona 4-3 on aggregate in the Champions League semi-finals.

In the second leg at Anfield, Liverpool won a corner in the latter stages of the second half.

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold quickly took the corner whilst Barcelona were setting up defensively.

Alexander-Arnold’s quick-thinking meant that Liverpool striker Divock Origi was one-on-one with Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Origi scored, and that ultimately meant that Liverpool progressed to the 2019 Champions League final.

The footage below aired on LFCTV, but it was uploaded to YouTube by Liverpool Van Java Official.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand recently spoke with Liverpool duo Andy Robertson and Alexander-Arnold about Origi’s goal.

Ferdinand labelled (00:05) Barcelona’s defending as “criminal” when he was talking about the aforementioned moment.
