As was the case in the 2021 Copa America Final, Angel Di Maria has delivered for the Argentina national team with a decisive goal in a final.
On a quick transition sequence during the opening half of the 2022 Finalissma, Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez dished off a keen pass over to Di Maria. The now-former PSG winger ended up flicking the ball over goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma for Argentina’s second goal against Italy.
