Paris Saint-Germain’s first half woes continued during its Ligue 1 away fixture against Rennes. The French powerhouse was unable to muster up any high percentage goal-scoring opportunities. However, PSG was gifted with a penalty attempt late in the first half.
Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd clipped Layvin Kurzawa in the penalty box and after a check from VAR, a penalty was eventually awarded to PSG minutes later.
As he has done countless times for PSG, Neymar stepped up to the plate and scored the attempt following his trademark run-up.

It was a lackadaisical opening half for PSG, but at the least, the side has the 1-0 lead.
