A Manchester United star has expressed his joy and happiness at Bryan Mbeumo’s imminent arrival at the club.

Mbeumo finalising United transfer

United had been chasing Mbeumo for weeks, since he made it clear that he was only interested in moving to Old Trafford if he departed Brentford.

The Red Devils had two bids rejected for him, as the Bees held out for a total package worth around £70m.

Last week, United finally sent in an improved offer, which met Brentford’s valuation. This proposal was accepted by the London outfit.

A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Mbeumo would sign his United contract today (Sunday, July 20) after the second part of his medical.

It’s understood that an announcement is imminent, with Ruben Amorim eager to have Mbeumo in the travelling squad that jets off to the United States for pre-season on Tuesday.

Fans are unsurprisingly excited to see what Mbeumo will bring to the side, and it seems the players also share the same feeling, if remarks made by Leny Yoro are anything to go by.

Yoro excited about Yoro’s arrival

After the goalless draw between United and Leeds on Saturday, Yoro was asked to give his reaction to Mbeumo’s move to the club.

A beaming Yoro answered, “Bryan is a really good player. I am really happy he has come to the club.”

“That is my guy. I am waiting for him now! That was long, that was long, but he is here now and I’m really happy!”

A French speaker, Yoro is likely to be one of the United players who enjoys the closest relationship with Mbeumo.

Another is fellow countryman, Andre Onana, who is believed to have talked to him and helped sway his decision.
