(Video): Mateo Kovacic’s sweet words on playing his friend and idol Modric

Mateo Kovacic will be facing off against his old friend Luka Modric in tomorrow’s match, and having played together both at Madrid and for Croatia, the midfielder knows the legend better than anyone.

They will be up against each other on the pitch tomorrow, but today Kovacic was more concerned with complimenting the iconic Madrid master.

“He’s an amazing player… I admired him when I was a child. Now we’re good friends, I admire him even more,” Kova glowed in the press conference ahead of the game tomorrow.
