Liverpool fans continue to leave tributes for Diogo Jota amid the ongoing outpouring of emotion over his death last Thursday.

Anfield has become a shrine to the 28-year-old and his brother Andre Silva, who were both killed in a car crash in northern Spain five days ago, with hundreds of flowers, shirts, scarves, flags and other items laid in memory of the two men.

Tributes have also been made at the entrance to the AXA Training Centre, to which the Reds’ players made a poignant return today as they reported for the first day of pre-season preparations, while a book of condolence remains accessible at LFC’s home ground until 8pm tonight.

Such has been the desire for the people of Liverpool (and beyond) to pay their respects to Diogo Jota that the wall of a building near the Main Stand at Anfield has begun to be adorned with messages of condolence for him and his brother.

A large-scale message of ‘His name is Diogo’ (with the dot on the I replaced by a heart) is visible from a distance, as is the caption ‘Forever 20’, and individual tributes have been left by members of the public with coloured chalk.

The wall is also adorned in the bottom corner with the acronym YNWA and a love heart, with all of these features captured in a video shared by The Redmen TV on X.
