Alan Shearer knows a thing or two about scoring goals – he’s the Premier League’s record goalscorers after all – and his take on Chelsea’s recent performances was pretty scatching.

He reeled off the criticisms of their attacking play in his role as pundit on Premier League TV: “There’s a lack of movement, a lack of cohesion, a lack of understanding.”
