Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana pulled off a heroic save that shocked Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho’s Fenerbahce took on United in the Europa League clash at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul.

United took the early lead in the game thanks to a strike from Christian Eriksen.

The Turks returned to the game, creating several clear-cut chances.

One fell to Youssef En Nesyri, who was denied by Onana’s acrobatic save before the 28-year-old sprung back to his feet, tipping the resulting close-range rebound over the bar.

The save resulted in Onana being mobbed by his team-mates. They knew he saved them in a big way and the TNT Sports cameras focused on Jose Mourinho’s genuinely stunned reacted on the touchline.

The former United boss spoke about Onana’s performance and said he deserved the man of the match award for his important saves.

Mourinho also shared a joke with Onana in the tunnel after the match, as seen in the video below courtesy of TNT Sports on Instagram.

En Nesyri eventually got the better of Onana when he scored Fenerbahce’s equaliser shortly after the break.

Meanwhile, Altay Bayindir felt the love from the home fans as he returned to Fenerbahce for the night. He was greeted during the warm-ups before kick-off.
