It was another round of international games last night and once again, we had some Chelsea involvement to talk about as we often do.

Both Joao Felix and Renato Veiga started for Portugal last night in their 1-1 draw with Croatia in the Nations League.

EXCLUSIVE! Premier League club make enquiry to sign Chelsea player that could lead to swap deal seeing striker going the other way!!

Portugal were ahead in the game after a goal from Felix, but it took a 65th minute equaliser from Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol to cancel that out.

Veiga was very good at centre back for Portugal, playing in the middle of a back three. And Felix was playing as part of a two up top alongside Raphael Leao.

Felix scores!

Felix scores for his country!

As you can see from the video posted on X, Felix killed a long ball from the back dead to then run through and provide a lovely finish for Portugal’s only goal of the game, showing his technical class once again.

Felix has had an impactful start to his Chelsea career, coming up with some decent goals. But being part of the second string starting Xl that only starts cup games under Enzo Maresca, will not be what he ideally wants to be doing right now. So scoring goals like this and having performances like last night, will go a long way in helping him prove to Maresca that he needs to be part of the first team that starts league games now.

Let’s see if that happens.
