Video: ‘It’s Difficult’ – Achraf Hakimi Discusses the Possibility of Taking Free Kicks at PSG
PSG Talk
Achraf Hakimi is seeing a successful stint with the Morocco national team at the African Cup of Nations. The Atlas Lions came away with a 2-1 victory over Malawi and the Paris Saint-Germain defender scored a free-kick from way outside the box.
When speaking with Canal Plus Sport Afrique, the 23-year-old was asked whether he would consider asking Lionel Messi or Neymar Jr. to take free kicks when he returns to the capital club once the tournament is over.
“Shoot free kicks at PSG? It’s difficult. I will try to speak with Leo (Messi) and Neymar too,” Hakimi said.
“In Paris, we have a lot of players who can take free-kicks, like Messi, Neymar, Sergio Ramos or Kylian Mbappé. I can try, but it’s difficult; there’s so much talent in this team… Here, my main focus is helping my national team.”
