You’d have to be a brave man to defend Frank Lampard right now, as Chelsea struggle through an absolutely dire run.
But that hasn’t stopped Simon Jordan wading into the fray on TalkSport to say he backs the Blues boss to achieve more (not necessarily this season) than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“I don’t believe Solskjaer will reach the standards that Lampard will,” he said as part of a wide ranging defence of the beleaguered Blues boss.
That’s a tough position to defend given the results of both managers in the last couple of months, but controversial opinions are what TalkSport and Jordan are all about, and they’ve certainly reeled in plenty of engagement on this Tweet.
