Video: Hugo Ekitike meets up with new Liverpool teammates on tour | OneFootball

Hugo Ekitike has joined his new Liverpool teammates on the club’s pre-season tour of Asia.

Liverpool completed the signing of Ekitike on Wednesday, with the forward arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt for an initial fee of £69m.

The 23-year-old has flown straight out to join the Premier League champions in Asia, ahead of their clash with AC Milan at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on Saturday.

Liverpool then face Yokohama FM in Japan before returning from the Far East.

The club’s official social channels have released footage of Ekitike being introduced to his new teammates. Alongside greetings with Liverpool legends Kenny Dalglish, Jerzy Dudek and Ian Rush, Ekitike links up with the rest of the squad.

Arne Slot is heard making a jibe in the direction of centre-back Ibrahima Konate, outlining his hope Ekitike can be a Frenchman who scores goals for the club!
