Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr was clearly delighted to see his captain, Heung-min Son, return to Hotspur Way on Thursday.
Ange Postecoglou’s selection options have taken a major boost over recent weeks with the injury list reduced and players returning from international duty.
One player who is back in the fold ahead of the weekend’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion is the South Korean winger, Son.

Thursday saw the return of the club captain following South Korea’s exit from the Asian Cup at the hands of Jordan on Tuesday.
Son was just one step away from the final, however, he is now set to return to the squad for the game against Brighton on Saturday.
And it was apparent his teammates were excited to see him return to the training ground with the Senegalese midfielder embracing Son with open arms.
The club posted a video of the captain’s return on their X account:

Having your leading goalscorer and club captain available for selection should be an easy choice when Postecoglou is selecting his starting XI.
However, the Australian will have to take into consideration how much the Asian Cup has taken out of Son both mentally and physically.
It was clear to see just how disappointed Son was following their elimination as he placed a lot of the blame on himself after the game: “I guess I wasn’t good enough as captain and didn’t lead the team well,” he said on his Instagram account.
One way to get over the disappointment would be to get straight back on the horse and help us to three big points against the Seagulls.
However, in a season where injuries have plagued our squad, perhaps Postecoglou may be taking a more cautious approach over Son’s physical wellbeing after weeks of tournament football.
