Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi fought for the title of the best player over the last decade. With the two winding down their careers, the debate of who takes the crown from one of these two players is the new conversation.
During an interview with Cadena Ser, former FC Barcelona forward Samuel Eto’o was asked what player does he taking over the title of the best player in the world. Eto’o discussed Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé as the two players to take over for Messi and Ronaldo.

“Today, we have two phenomena that are Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi above everyone else,” Eto’o said. “And the next big player is Kylian Mbappé. He has so many qualities. He can play in any team. Erling Haaland is a very good striker, but, for me, Kylian Mbappé is a unique player.”
