Harry Maguire believes Manchester United created enough chances to secure a famous win against Liverpool at Anfield.

United drew 0-0 to their Premier League title rivals but David de Gea had very little to do and a rare victory over Jurgen Klopp’s champions was there for the taking.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men had two superb openings after the break after a nervy first-half showing, with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes both having efforts saved by Alisson inside the area.

Maguire believes those were the best chances of the game and proved United did enough to secure three points and extend their advantage at the top of the league even further.

But the United captain also admits his side were slow out of the blocks as they were deluged by a rampant Liverpool in the opening exchanges.

Maguire added that United were frustrated with their first-half showing, but improved and gained confidence after the break.

Anyhow, United remain top of the Premier League and few would have turned down a point at the start of proceedings at Anfield.
