(Video): Graham Potter defends his tactical Sterling decision

Chelsea’s setup was interesting tonight, as the Blues played a kind of hybrid formation with Raheem Sterling as a nominal left wing back, with Marc Cucurella in behind him.

It worked well, as Graham Potter explained in his post match press conference.

Cururella handled it well and Sterling didn’t have to defend too much. Then Sterling was in an attacking position to score a goal. This is an early sign from Potter that he will work in a very “game to game” fashion.
