Video: Former Barcelona star Dani Alves departs prison on provisional release | OneFootball

Footage of former Barcelona and Brazil star Dani Alves departing prison for the first time in well over a year has come to the fore on Monday.

Ex-defender Alves, of course, was found guilty of sexual assault late last month.

The Brazilian had been in custody since January of 2023, in relation to an incident in the bathroom of a nightclub in Barcelona the prior December.

His prison sentence was set at four and a half years.

Last week, it was announced that The 21st Section of the Barcelona Court of Justice had accepted the request of Alves’ defense to release him on provisional bail.

As much comes whilst the 40-year-old’s appeals are judged.

The bond for his release was set at €1 million.

And, with as much having evidently now been deposited in full, Alves, as alluded to above, was therefore this afternoon granted release from the Brians 2 facilities.
