(Video) Edinson Cavani makes gesture at angry United fans after Crystal Palace defeat
Stretty News
Not with Edinson Cavani, but Marcus Rashford had a run in with a supporter at Old Trafford earlier this season before explaining his actions with a statement posted on social media.
Footage has been filmed by a fan showing Cavani appearing to make a ‘middle finger’ gesture a number of times before boarding the team bus.
United were beaten 1-0 by Crystal Palace on the final day of the season and Cavani was named in the starting line-up. The Uruguayan played his last game for the club and will leave on a free when his contract expires next month.
Cavani has only made 14 appearances in all competitions this season and he scored just two goals in those games.
You can tell by the video posted on Twitter that some of the players got a heated reaction from the fans, but Cavani let himself down by reacting the way he did.
It’s difficult to know what was said to upset Cavani, but it will be the last time he plays in front of our fans, so it’s a disappointing way to go out — all things considered!
