Ralf Rangnick wasn’t the only VIP at Old Trafford last night.

Manchester United made hard work of their 3-2 victory over Arsenal and there was another special guest in the crowd soaking in all the drama. Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham took his son Romeo along to watch the game.

Romeo’s admiration for Arsenal has been well-documented in the past, as per The Express, so we all know his dad really enjoyed last night’s win.

However, they were also in for a night of real drama.

It started as Arsenal opened the scoring against United in truly bizarre fashion following a clash between Fred and David de Gea, which left the goalkeeper floored and allowed Emile Smith-Rowe to half volley into an unguarded net.

We also had Martin Atkinson initially deny a stonewall penalty, while Arsenal fans will argue a penalty shout was ignored when Harry Maguire appeared to tug on Takehiro Tomiyasu inside the box.

My point is, the game had no shortage of drama – Arsenal weren’t very good, and I fancied us to score and win the game in the end.

A spot kick won it for United as Ronaldo scored his 801st career goal to mark off another incredible milestone. Becks got his phone out in the stands and recorded Romeo as Ronaldo prepared for his match-winner.

Beckham captioned his recent Instagram post: “@romeobeckham the Arsenal and @cristiano fan.”

The former United number 7 predicted that Ronaldo would find the back of the net.

Romeo could only smile on as Ronaldo continues his goalscoring spree in the Premier League at 36-years-old.

The GOAT.
