Chelsea talent Cesare Casadei opened the account in an international friendly between Italy U21 and France U21 in Empoli.
The Azzurrini took the lead at minute 16′ at the Stadio Castellani Computergross Arena, home to Serie A side Empoli.
On-loan Besiktas midfielder Cher Ndour led Italy’s attack on the left flank and passed the ball to Giuseppe Ambrosino, who assisted Casadei with a backheel flip.
It was Casadei’s third goal in 11 appearances with Italy U21.
The 21-year-old midfielder has four appearances under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea this term.
