Thiago Silva was captured on the BBC cameras crying at full time of Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Man City in the FA Cup semi final at Wembley today.
The Brazilian, along with his teammates, was clearly heartbroken by the result, another agonising defeat at the national stadium, and another great chance to win a trophy slipping through their grasp. Even a veteran like him couldn’t hold back the emotion.

Silva has won it all, but he knows this is likely to be his last ever appearance at Wembley – and it could have been so different.
He and his teammates had the chances to win it, and Silva put in a strong defensive display at the back to keep Man City at bay. It was only an individual error (plus a load of missed chances and a penalty not given) which cost them.
