His interview with Hayters was fascinating today, as he explained why Chelsea’s interest in Jules Kounde had died off so rapidly, despite the Blues having had a deal for the defender “wrapped up” long ago.

Now he’s dropped down to third choice it seems, as the club grew tired of Sevilla’s antics for a second summer in a row. The deal isn’t dead – but the Blue are thinking very differently now.
