Bologna will be wearing an new all-black third kit for Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Liverpool at Anfield, and nodded to the Beatles when unveiling the new strip on social media this afternoon.

The new Macron-produced Bologna kits were released to the public on Tuesday afternoon.

Towards the end of the announcement video posted to social media, four Bologna players were shown walking across a pedestrian crossing before boarding a bus ‘heading for Liverpool’ in reference to the Beatles’ Abbey Road album cover.

For those particularly interested in the details, Dan Ndoye takes the place of George Harrison, Sam Beukema for Paul McCartney, Charalampos Lykogiannis for Ringo Starr and Giovanni Fabbian in place of John Lennon in the original album cover line-up.
