(Video) Anfield steward comically takes ball to face in Liverpool’s final game

Liverpool’s 2023/24 campaign ended with a game that many supporters didn’t really care about as all eyes at Anfield were on Jurgen Klopp.

It may have helped one particular steward if their eyes were on the ball though as an effort from Hwang Hee-chan rebounded off the advertising boards and then into their face.

It was a real slice of bad luck that led to the moment that will no doubt raise a wry smile from any fans who were in the vicinity.

At least there’s a summer break to get over the embarrassment!
