Scott McTominay opened the scoring in Napoli-Cagliari with an acrobatic scissor kick after 42 minutes of the final Serie A match of the season, which could hand the Partenopei the league title.
There was just one point separating Napoli and Inter at the top of the Serie A table heading into the final round of the 2024-25 season. A victory for Napoli against Cagliari hands them the league title, while a draw or less leaves them relying on a favour from Como against Inter.

It was Inter who struck first on Friday night: Stefan De Vrij’s 20th minute header gave the Nerazzurri a 1-0 lead at the Sinigaglia, which had them leading the Serie A table for jst over 20 minutes.
Then, 42 minutes into Napoli-Cagliari, McTominay sent the Maradona into a frenzy with an acrobatic finish to send the Partenopei 1-0 up and back to the top of the table with less than an hour of the season to go.
