Back in the summer of 2006, Liverpool signed forward Dirk Kuyt from Feyenoord for a transfer fee of €18 million.
The Dutchman went on to score 71 goals and register 40 assists in 285 appearances for the club’s first-team. Kuyt also won the 2012 League Cup with the Reds.
The striker’s first goal for Liverpool came against Newcastle United back in September 2006. As you can see in the footage below, Kuyt found the back of the net from point blank range.
The Dutchman departed Liverpool back in the summer of 2012. Kuyt eventually retired from professional football in July 2018.
