Neil Lennon has defended his players after another 4-1 thrashing from Sparta Prague sent the top seeds in Group H crashing out of the Europa League. “I didn’t think we deserved to lose 4-1…. after half time for 35 minutes we were superb. Things aren’t going for us at the minute. It was far better than the performance two weeks ago.

“I’ve been in situations like this before as a manager and player. There is no reason for me to believe we won’t turn this around.”
