Victor Osimhen ends Napoli nightmare with move to Türkiye

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on loan for the remainder of the season.

The prolific forward, who scored 15 league goals in just 22 starts last season, attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and PSG during the summer.

The club made it clear that they wanted to cash in on the striker, but with no deal secured by the conclusion of the European window, the Nigeria international was completely frozen out and was excluded from Napoli’s official squad list.

Osimhen was then left with a choice to either find a club whose transfer window was still open beyond the end of August, or wait until Janaury to secure a move.

Now that nightmare has come to an end as Galatasaray have provided a lifeline to the exiled striker.
