NEC have reached an agreement with Jasper Cillessen. The 36-year-old goalkeeper was a free agent after leaving Las Palmas and now arrives for his third spell in Nijmegen.

According to Voetbal International, sources have confirmed the agreement between Cillessen and NEC to, following earlier reports by De Telegraaf. Cillessen made his professional breakthrough at NEC. After one season as a starting goalkeeper, he transferred to Ajax for over three million euros, before he later joined Barcelona for 13 million.

In his second spell, Cillessen made 65 appearances. Last summer, he embarked on another Spanish adventure and moved to Las Palmas, with whom he was relegated from La Liga last season.

Now, NEC have brought him back for the second time. This is mainly due to the departure of Robin Roefs to Premier League Sunderland.
