Tomas Soucek becomes the latest West Ham player to give backing to Graham Potter.

The new Head Coach, who arrived here just under 3 weeks ago to replace Julen Lopetegui, has been a breath of fresh air in east London, with the players clearly enjoying their football a lot more since his arrival.

West Ham produced an excellent display in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Sunday evening, which has Soucek like many others, heaping praise on the former Brighton boss.

“This is the best performance under the new Head Coach,” Soucek told the clubs Official Website. “We can see what he wants to do at the training ground as his message is very clear how he wants to keep the ball and press the opponent.

“It depends on the team we are playing against, but as players we know the approach and we practice at the training ground all the time and if I see this progress like I saw on Sunday I will be happy as we’ll keep improving.”

West Ham are now focussed on the next task at hand which is on Monday when we take on London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, however there can be no denying that we are going into the game far more confident that what it would have been a month ago.

“We played against Aston Villa on Sunday and next week we play against Chelsea, who I would say are a very similar team, so if we keep believing then we can get points there,” added the Czech international.
