After a campaign defined by resilience and determination, several Hellas Verona players have earned particular recognition as the season draws to a close.

Defender Jackson Tchatchoua was named winner of the Frecciarossa Speed Award for the 2024/25 Serie A season. The accolade is reserved for the player recording the highest average top speed across all matches. Tchatchoua, a mainstay in the Verona back line, posted an impressive 34.88 km/h, outpacing Cagliari striker Piccoli (32.75 km/h) and Atalanta’s Ederson (32.71 km/h). The award was presented to Tchatchoua ahead of Verona’s final league match in Empoli, underlining his value as a dynamic presence throughout the campaign.

The club also celebrated safety after a hard-fought fixture in Empoli, which made survival mathematically certain. In the aftermath, young centre-back Diego Coppola, born in 2003 and already considered a pillar of manager Paolo Zanetti’s side, took to social media to share his pride. In a post accompanied by a photo, Coppola wrote, “Per sempre nel cuore”—a message of lasting affection for the club and its supporters.

Supporters provided a poignant moment of their own at the conclusion of the final away game. As the full-time whistle sounded in Empoli, the Hellas Army fan group unveiled a banner dedicated to Pawel Dawidowicz. The Polish defender, approaching the end of his contract and set to leave the club, was the subject of public gratitude. Fans made their appreciation known, thanking him for his contributions during his time in Verona, while some called for a last-minute renewal, chanting that he would not find a similar environment elsewhere.

As Hellas Verona look ahead to the future, this season closes with major contributors recognised both by the league and by their own supporters. With young talent like Coppola growing into leadership roles, and players like Tchatchoua gaining league-wide acknowledgment, the foundations appear solid for continued development, even as the squad faces some changes in personnel over the summer.
