Verdict in on Dembélé's injury

Ousmane Dembélé, the 28-year-old forward for Paris Saint-Germain, had to leave the match against Toulouse this Saturday evening (Matchday 3 of Ligue 1) despite starting the game. The reason was what appeared to be a muscle discomfort, which has been confirmed but is not considered serious enough by the Bleus staff to rule him out during the break. This is according to RMC Sport.

“After coming off with a hamstring issue during the match in Toulouse, Ousmane Dembélé arrived as normal today in the Yvelines. An assessment was made with the medical staff and the forward does indeed have discomfort in his left hamstring. He will follow an adapted program but remains with the France squad.”

This is relatively good news, as it means Dembélé is not seriously injured. Even though a bit of rest after the muscle scare might have been appreciated. But we can only trust the medical staff, who know their job.
