The Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will host the 2030 World Cup final, as per the latest coming out of the Spanish capital. Meetings between FIFA officials and representatives of the Moroccan, Spanish and Portuguese football bodies met last week in Agadir, and any doubts were removed.
That is the information Marca are working with, who say that while the RFEF could lose one of the 12-13 venues they are keen to have, the Spanish Football Federation would not cede on the final. FIFA are currently in negotiations with Real Madrid about them loaning the stadium to the governing body.
They go on to say that there are still some doubts about venues for all three countries, but Spain are hoping to include Vigo and Valencia as their 12th and 13th venues, following portracted negotations with the city councils.
With the World Cup final by FIFA regulation was set to be held in a venue with 80,000 seats or more. While Morocco are suggesting that they will build a large stadium with over 100,000 seats, the only two possible host stadiums currently are the Bernabeu and Camp Nou, once it is renovated.
