The Copa America quarter-finals pit Venezuela against Canada in Arlington, Texas on Saturday for the right to face either Argentina or Ecuador in the last four.
The Venezuelans were one of three group-winning teams to earn maximum points – joining defending champions Argentina and Uruguay in doing so – while Canada did enough to finish above Chile and Peru, despite the Canucks only managing to score one goal in three games.
Venezuela are slight favourites for this tussle at the AT&T Stadium with the Canadians and they kick off at 02:00 UK time on Saturday 6th July.

Canada are Copa America first-timers and will be delighted to have come through a tough group on paper to make the knockouts at the first attempt.
Being grouped with defending champions and 2022 World Cup winners Argentina was sure to make life difficult, while seasoned performers like Chile and Peru made the task appear all the more formidable.
Their opening loss to La Albiceleste was only confirmed by an 88th minute strike from Lautaro Martinez, while they managed shutouts in both remaining group games.
American Jesse Marsch hasn’t been at the helm long, he was only hired full-time in May after Canada’s MLS clubs agreed to subsidise his wages, but the experienced coach is having a strong impact.
After June friendlies against Netherlands and France, and that opener against Argentina, his team are battle hardened and stubborn, though it must be noted that both Peru and Chile were reduced to 10 men in their games against Canada.
On the face of it, the Venezuelans are one of three Copa America contenders to enter the last eight with a perfect winning record.
Perhaps, however, Fernando Batista’s team are a little bit flattered by that status.
In their opening game, Enner Valencia of Ecuador saw red early on, gifting an advantage to Venezuela. They got the better of Mexico in their second game courtesy of a second-half penalty in a contest where they had just 38 per cent possession and then put away a dispirited Jamaican side in the group finale.
This looks set to be a real test of their durability against a well-organised Canadian side.
Venezuela v Canada – Team News
Venezuela must do without forward Darwin Machis after the 31-year-old picked up cautions against both Ecuador and Jamaica to earn himself a one-game suspension.
Eduard Bello and Salomon Rondon lead the way in terms of goals, with two each so far. Ex-West Brom, Newcastle and Everton forward Rondon is 34 years of age now and playing his club football with Pachuca in Mexico – he should lead the line once again.
Inter Milan midfielder Tajon Buchanan has played in all three Canadian games, though only appeared as a substitute against Peru and Chile.
However, the 25-year-old suffered a broken tibia in training in midweek and his tournament is over.
